Hard Work And Play Make Our World Go Round!

Hello There! I have allot to catch you up on, for the 4 of you that follow.   I apologize for not blogging but I did warn you I'm not good at this.  I have had to take care of the hurt, sick, and yucky but now I'm back on track thanks to some Aloha spirit!
I'll let the pictures do the talking with the help of some captions of course!
Starting with the children helping keep the class running!

Among Nature

This is always a favorite time of year for our class, as we turn our nature hunting skills on.  We play I Spy games and talk about the things we see that interest us while we walk.  We observe nature and incarnate the environment wholly  by touching, smelling, and sometimes tasting if the occasion arises.  Here we are looking at the fungus on the tree stump.  This led to a talk about mushrooms of course, what they are, who liked them, who didn't, and last but not least, who had eaten some from out of the yard and why we shouldn't do that.

 Dorsey said Good Morning! Do you notice something familiar on my shirt? For those of you who don't know me, my daughter's name is Seattle.

 Earlier in the week Dorsey brought in some cattle bones as a special treat for the children to observe, and try to identify.

Our Primary class has help gather, build, and grow  all of their outdoor environment, including the wetland area for our pet turtle, our recycled greenhouse, and flower beds.
